I am Joseph Sochor, a writer, event coordinator, and online content creator. I recently graduated from the Business of Wine program at San Diego State University. In Chicago, where I lived much of my life, I trained as a chef at Cordon Bleu Chicago and worked as a culinary instructor, founding a program for teaching introductory Thai, Indian, and Mexican cuisines.

Moving to California 13 years ago has put me in touch with the bounty of California’s vineyards, beginning with my home county of San Diego. I love connecting with people for whom wine, cooking, and dining are a passion. When not writing and cooking, I am out hiking, studying cinema as an independent scholar, and rocking the stereo with classical and every genre of popular music.
